About Kawanga Group

The Kawanga Group is a family-owned private business in Uganda. In 1983, the family incorporated Kawanga Agro-Forestry Industries Limited (“KAFIL”) with an intention of developing the family heirloom Kawanga Forest.

Kawanga Forest which has been maintained to-date is the largest private forest in Kalangala district. A number of business ventures are operated by the Estate, namely Kawanga Forest Lodge, KT Transport, Aunt Teo Fuel Service Station, Kawanga Forest Furniture, Kawanga Fruits and Vegetables and Kawanga Coffee.
